Frances Crawford Art

The art consultancy was set up in Aberdeen in 2000 in response to demand for art commissioning and leasing services for the corporate sector. Since then I have provided art work for many prestigious oil industry companies, Petrofac, Enterprise oil, (now part of Shell group) Paladin Expro, Nexen Petroleum, are among my clients past and present. From the start it has been my policy to source original art direct from the artist and encourage the use of more challenging contemporary work than is normally seen in corporate settings. I do not use high edition prints, or reproductions at all, I do use handmade artist's prints and creative photography as well as original paintings

Why Have Art in the workplace?

It is universally recognised that ideas at the forefront of culture are also paralleled in business. Professionally selected, high quality artwork will positively reflect the cultural awareness, status and innovative attitude of your company. Art is a catalyst for questioning, encouraging creative discourse. The inclusion of art in the workplace creates a positive, stimulating and invigorating environment, for company personnel or visitors. Research has shown that exposure to new experiences through art inevitably leads to an increase in creativity and enthusiasm in the workforce. Artwork is sourced from artists throughout Scotland. I am particularly committed to nurturing and encouraging new graduates emerging from Scottish art colleges and also capitalising on the talent resident in the local area. Sourcing artwork locally provides an invaluable income for artists, acting as a form of arts sponsorship and therefore providing a positive contribution to the community.
